John David Feyock, Jr., 61
July 01, 2024
A beloved son, father, sibling, and friend, John David Feyock Jr, aged 61, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on July 1st, 2024. Born to Carol (Sweeney) and John Feyock Sr in Lancaster, he attended Hempfield High School, graduating in 1981. He furthered his education at Penn State University, where, in 1985 he earned a Bachelor’s degree. He returned to Lancaster after living in Florida, where met his wife, Jodi, and worked in medical sales for Keeler Instruments.
An avid sports fan, John had a strong passion for Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football, as well as Phillies baseball. John enjoyed the simple things: an evening down the shore with a good glass of wine or a Crown and Diet, a cigar, and a sports game on in the background (which he definitely had a prop bet on).
John was a dad in the truest sense: you could often find him sitting in his favorite chair watching his favorite show (the weather channel), and could always count on his thoughtful texts to include puns, dad jokes, and acronyms (that he made up himself). A devoted son, his most valuable time was spent with his family.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his selflessness, and his signature hugs.
Along with his parents, John and Carol of Lancaster, John is survived by his wife, Jodi Feyock of Lancaster: his son Andrew C. Feyock, husband of Emily, and their daughter, Elyse, all of Pittsburgh; his step children: Patrick Brogan (husband of Sarah) of Berwyn, PA., Alex Gerstman (wife of Ethan) of Media, PA., Megan Brogan of Philadelphia and Christopher Brogan of Philadelphia; his sister Susan Hunter of Mount Joy; his brother Charlie Feyock (husband of Aggi) of Lancaster; his nieces Carly Hunter of Lancaster and Ainsley Feyock of Sellersville; and his nephew Bryson Hunter of Lancaster;.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave, Lancaster, PA 17601 from 10am to 11am with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11:00 am. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Off the Streets, http://lancaster.offthestreetsnow.com/..

I am so sorry to read that John passed away. It must be difficult losing a child and brother. I sent his obituary to Troy and Todd, who were saddened to hear the news. I am sorry I could not attend his Memorial Service due to another commitment. I would have loved to have seen the family. My deepest sympathy to everyone.

I knew John for a number of years first working together as competitors in the eye business, and later on in a Manufacturer / Distributor working relationship in the same industry. In either situation, he was always respectful, passionate about what he did, and great to hang out with at the end of the day. Extending the deepest sympathy to you in this time of mourning. May the Lord heal you and keep you in His eternal light.
