John F. Marquette, 60

John F. Marquette, 60, of Manor Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 after a 10 year battle with cancer. Born in Bronx NY, he was the son of the late Anthony and Marie Marquette. John celebrated 26 years of marriage with his wife Bity (Elizabeth) this past April.
A graduate of American International College in Springfield, MA with a BSA, John was the seafood manager at Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill. He was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. He loved to travel and listen to music. An avid sports fan, John rooted for the NY Jets and Knicks and Villanova University. John was involved in Boy Scouts and he was most proud of his three sons earning the Rank of Eagle Scout.
In addition to his loving wife Bity, John is survived by their three sons, Nicholas, Matthew and Stephen; five siblings, Tony Marquette, husband of Maureen, Robert Marquette, husband of Wendy, Denise, wife of Pete Bertuglia, Jimmy Marquette, and Regina, wife of Robert Gaudioso; many nieces and nephews; and his Uncle Don and Aunt Jeanne Marquette, sister-in-law Denise, wife of Paul Rossi and brother-in-law John Dorsi.
A Funeral Mass will take place 11 AM, Monday, December 11, 2017 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2427 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601 with The Rev. Peter I. Hahn as Celebrant. Viewings will be held on Sunday, December 10th, 2-4 PM and 6-8:30 PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 and 10-11 AM on Monday at the church. Interment will be in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Cancer Care Ministry, 163 W. Frederick St., Millersville, PA 17551

There are no words to describe how we felt about John and how we feel about his wonderful family. We have been so blessed to have had him for a friend and will miss his presence in our lives. May he rest in peace with no more pain and know that we will watch over his family.
