John J. Kieley III, 55
March 15, 2024
John J. Kieley III, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on March 15, 2024. He was the son of the late John J Kieley Jr., and Barbara F. (Weibley) Kieley.
Born in Lancaster Pa, and a graduate of Lampeter Strasburg, Jay went on to earn his associates degree. He was a previous chef at the Lancaster Tennis and Yacht Club, and continued his work career at Lancaster General Hospital in security for the last 15 years.
Jay was the proud owner of JJ Kieley catering, where he shared his culinary talents with many! He was a member of several clubs, including the Riverside, Rainmakers association, and then VFW in Knoxville Pennsylvania.
Jay’s true love was being at his property in New York with his boys. His passion was hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He loved the Buffalo Bills, Miller lite, and great food. Jay cherished his family and friendships, and was always there to lend a helping hand!
He will be deeply missed by his mother Barbara, sons John and Hunter, sister Michelle Flint, and all those that were fortunate enough to meet him.
Friends and family are invited to a time of sharing and a celebration of Jay’s life on Saturday, April 6, 2024 beginning at 11A.M. at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, Pa., 17584. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 11 AM prior to the time of sharing. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

We send our condolences and were very saddened to hear of Jay’s passing. We have fond memories of time with him and also his amazing meals. The Besecker’s had Jay and his crew at many of their events over the years. Jim always found time to spend with Jay to talk about life, family and of course Jay’s favorite, his New York property and hunting.
Sending blessings to you and the family.

Mrs. Kieley, Michelle, John and Hunter and family, you have my deepest condolences. My heart breaks for you all. Jay spoke of you all often and with stories full of great joy and sentiment. He would always emphasize his stories with that special laugh that I will never forget. I was fortunate enough to call him my boyfriend and friend for many years and will remember him fondly. I can hear him now, 🎶” I love you a bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.”🎶 God Bless you and keep you. Sincerely, Caroline Leonard (((HUGS)))

My sincere condolence. I met John many years ago while working on the Kieley farm in Marticville. We would always seem to run into each other over the years and share stories of hunting and our children. He loved to talk about his sons and what they were doing. I remember John as such a nice guy. I am sorry for your loss.
