To Jack’s family and friends. . .I send my deepest and sincere sympathy. What a great man he was! I got the honor of being in his company while he came for weekly haircuts at Visible Expressions. I also have the pleasure of being in Ann’s company every few weeks. Hugs and comfort!

I was very sad to learn of Jack’s passing. We worked together at New Holland in the 1990’s where I saw how kind, caring and capable he was. Ann and his entire family are in our thoughts and prayers.

We are thinking of all of you today as you celebrate Jack’s life. My parents were close friends with Elmer and Anne, and I grew up knowing Jack, Bill and Mary Anne when we lived in Lancaster, and after we moved to Connecticut and Rhode Island. The memorial video brought back so many memories and reminded us of what a wonderful family you are. We send our love to you all at this time with gratitude for your friendship. Jack was such a kind and gentle man, and we will miss him, as we do his parents.

Dear Ann, Bill & Joann, and Maryanne & Scott,
I am so very sorry for the loss of Jack. I only recently became more in touch with him through Facebook. And I am very sorry I am unable to be there for the funeral. With the little communication that I had with him I learned that he was a really wonderful guy. Love,

Dear Ann–
So sorry to learn of the death of Jack, whom I last saw at our LCHS reunion, where he had good stories about himself and your father-in-law, my father’s cousin-in-law. Jack was a great student and accomplished man, who will be missed. Please accept my deepest sympathies and preemptive apologies for being unable to attend Jack’s service, as we are living out of state at the moment.
With warm regards,
Joe Eckenrode
P.S. Tried, Ann, to find your postal address, but Google was not cooperative.

Our love and condolences to Ann, MaryAnn, Scott, Bill, Joann and family, and all other close friends and family of Jack from all sides of the tree, of which there must surely be too many for us to have kept track of. Our own experiences with Jack were undoubtedly limited compared to many who knew him and/or were privileged to count him as family, but they were never less than friendly and rewarding. In addition to all the other positive impressions his life has left on us, we thank him for all his work and research in maintaining the extended family history.
