Joseph Paul “Joe” Fox, 71
June 22, 2024
Joseph Paul “Joe” Fox, 71, of Lancaster passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Lancaster General Hospital following a long, courageous battle with a Glioblastoma. Born in Carbondale, the son of the late Charles F. and Alice K. Ammon Fox. Joe was the loving husband of Celeste Tranguch Fox, they shared nearly 47 years of marriage together. He was a graduate of St. Gabriel’s High School, Hazleton.
Joe was a loyal employee for 30 years with both Allison Door Sales & Overhead Door Sales. He was a faithful member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. A lifelong Eagles/Phillies fan, sports trivia guru & a die-hard Jeopardy fan! Joe enjoyed being “Coach Fox” to his children’s teams throughout the years. Joe enjoyed restoring cars, he could fix anything and loved his pups through the years. Following retirement ‘Pappy Joe’ enjoyed time with his sweet grandchildren & relaxing with a jigsaw puzzle. He built birdhouses, enjoyed birdwatching & was always ready to go fishing. More than anything he loved his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Celeste, are three children, Erin (Christopher) Bressler, Regina (Zach) Schulz, Ian (Chelsee) Fox, six grandchildren, Fiona, Mia, Luke, Colt, Beau & Isabelle. Brothers, Charles Fox and Tim (Alice) Fox. Joe was raised in a ‘village’ of loving aunts, uncles & cousins whom he loved dearly.
The family would like to recognize the staff at Lancaster General Hospital for the kind and compassionate care provided to Joe during his stay, especially Shannon in ED, Ursela, Amy & Bri in IICU, and Karlie in Oncology, in addition to the Johns Hopkins Oncology team, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
