Josephine A. Conlin-Ryner, 89

Josephine A. Conlin-Ryner, 89, of Lancaster, died Friday, October 4, 2013, at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Jenny Terzuolle. Josephine’s first husband William D. “Bing” Conlin died in 1976 and her second husband Ervin W. “Goose” Ryner died in 2008.

As a young adult Josephine moved to Lancaster to train workers for RCA. She then worked at the American Legion, as a seamstress doing window treatments for Townhouse Interiors, volunteered with the Lancaster Area Kidney Association and the Lancaster County Office of the Aging. Lastly, for 20 years, she was a waitress at the Bridgeport Family Restaurant until she turned 82 years old.

Josephine is survived by her son Thomas L. Conlin, grandson Tommy J. Van Ausdall-Conlin, and his mother Kathryn Van Ausdall, one remaining sibling Libby Stainagle of Middletown, NJ, and step-daughters Kathy, wife of Wayne Groff and Donna Shenk. In addition to her husbands, Josephine was preceded in death by her son William Daniel Conlin, Jr. in 1974.

The Funeral will be held 11 AM Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 East King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602, with The Rev. Dana Statler officiating. A viewing will take place 10-11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lancaster Area Kidney Association, P.O. Box 1446, Lancaster, PA 17604.

A wonderful lady who for years was the LAKA Xmas Party, now the Annual Holiday Recognition Banquet. Whether It was getting Santa Claus dressed or handing out door prizes, she was always alot of fun and good for a witty remark or two.
