Judith A. Secora, 67
May 28, 2021
Judith “Judy” Secora, 67 of Lancaster, PA passed away peacefully on May 28, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Henry H. Hess and Mary (Fulmer) Betz, and the loving wife to the late Joseph Secora, Jr. for over 37 years.
Judy was born and raised in Lancaster and stayed local her entire life. After graduating from Penn Manor High School, she began her working career and eventually found herself working at Sacred Heart in the Rectory. Judy had many hobbies which included bowling, going out dancing, singing country music and the oldies, and camping trips. You could often times find her watching her favorite shows such as the Golden Girls or Little House on the Prairie. She absolutely loved having family gatherings so she could spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. “Who’s coming down the steps?” is a phrase that will always make us think of Judy.
Judy is survived by her loving children: Kelly Mejias (Juan), Melissa Secora (Raymond Ruiz), Joseph Secora III, and John Secora; her siblings: Ruth Ann Smith, Mary Hess, and Ken Hess (Tina); and her beloved grandchildren: Issac Mejias, Natalee Mejias, John Thomas “JT” Secora, Kaitlyn Heisey, Krystyl Heath, Carter Secora, Noah Secora, and Brooke Zinc. Judy was predeceased by her parents Henry and Mary, her husband Joseph, and her siblings: Henry Hess, Linda Drennen, Dave Hess, and John Wayne Hess.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Judy’s name to Lancaster Area Kidney Association, P.O. Box 1446, Lancaster, PA 17604.
