Judith Westheaffer, 80

January 25, 2025

Judith Westheaffer, 80, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025. Born in Lancaster to the late Lawrence and Muriel Womer. Judith dedicated over 25 years to customer service at Farmers First Bank (now Truist). She also held a Bachelor’s degree in Education, which she used during her 10 years as a teacher’s aide.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Westheaffer, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage until his passing in 2019. Together, they created a lifetime of memories, including their time as part of a bowling league—a shared hobby that brought them great happiness.

Judith had a love of needlework and card games and also enjoyed board games and family meals. She loved Christmas, her favorite holiday, and found joy in cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Penn State football. Judith was also an avid fan of “The Real Housewives,” keeping up with the latest episodes.

Above all, Judith cherished the time spent with her family. She is survived by her loving daughter, Bonnie L. Westheaffer, and her son-in-law, Kirk Thoman.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Judith’s memory to Willow Tree Hospice, 616 East Cypress Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.

Services will be private. Judith’s generous spirit and love for life will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.

My sympathy to you Bonnie on your Mother’s passing.  She was such a patient and thoughtful person to customers and co-workers at  the Park City Office of Farmers First.

So sorry to hear about her passing.  I worked with her husband, Charley, at Hamilton Watch Co.  I remember him bringing in one of his favorite desserts that Judy would make.  It was a pineapple cake.  I asked for the recipe and I continue to make it to this day!  It has become one of my favorite desserts to make 🙂  Thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
