June L. Hamaker, 72, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully at Hospice and Community Care on Saturday, December 26, 2015.
Born in Lancaster, she was the wife of Garry L. Hamaker and they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on September 15th. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Goswick and Caroline Caldwell Goswick.
June worked for 17 years as a secretary for the Manheim Township Ambulance Association and prior to that worked at Kerr Glass for 29 years. She was a member of Trinity United Congregational Church, East Petersburg, and formerly attended St. Andrew United Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren, had many close friends, and was loved by many for her kind heartedness. She enjoyed reading, collecting Seraphina angels, and occasionally going to the casinos.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Terry L. Smith, Lancaster, and a son Jerry L. Carl, Harrisburg, PA; nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, four sisters, Linda, wife of Jerry Burgess, Peach Bottom, PA, Phyllis Goswick, Quarryville, PA, Donna Mae Throckmorton, Mechanicsville, VA, and Sandy Cobb, Chesterfield, VA, a brother Jerry Goswick, Mechanicsville, VA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Sonny Goswick, sister, Sharon DeVerter, and a step daughter, Stacey E. Hamaker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend June’s Memorial Service at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA on Wednesday January 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with The Rev. Christopher Rankin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice and Community Care, 625 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.

I would like to send my love and prayers to the family during this difficult time. Nan Hamaker was truly loved and will be missed dearly. Cherished memories will never be forgotten. Morgan and I will always hold her close to our hearts! I am sorry I will not be able to attend her memorial service due to unforseen circumstances, however, I am with you all and will talk soon.
