Karen Lee Stoltzfus, 61
December 03, 2024
Karen Lee Stoltzfus, 61, of Lititz passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Emerson, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Elaine Wilbur. She was the loving wife to Michael Stoltzfus, with whom she shared over 37 years of marriage.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael Stoltzfus; daughter Samantha Lee Stoltzfus of NYC (John Mervini); and several nieces and nephew. Karen is preceded in death by her brother, Jeffery Wilbur, grandparents Rodney and Helen Wilbur, Ed and Marie Shopland, and in laws Richard and Annelore Stoltzfus. Also surviving, Stepmother Joyce McComsey, brother-in-law John (Connie) uncle Rodney (Nonny) of NJ. She will be greatly missed by her best friend Sheila, and many, many, other close friends and family.
She was an avid music lover and a singer, enjoyed golfing, going to NASCAR races, and cheering on the Miami Dolphins, and Baltimore Orioles, in person, or at home. She was well traveled, having visited places both closer to home such as Lewes, Delaware, Pequea, and farther like Hawaii, Aruba and the Caribbean. She also loved visiting her favorite cousin Darren on Cape Cod.
She also loved going to NYC, to see her daughter, who she loved and adored, to see her perform, or just to visit. Karen was the advertising consultant for Lancaster County Magazine (EPC), having also worked in sales for Clipper Mag. Napa, and Identicard. Karen attended IUP, Penn State night classes, and consolidated school of business, she had a real estate license.
Karen’s childhood memories of traveling with her family, in her dad’s plane to Vermont, to her grandfather’s cabin, for skiing in winter, to spending days in beautiful weather greatly influenced her. She would always say, if a day was mid-70s, no humidity, it was a Vermont day. Karen sang the national anthem for a decade at her father’s yacht club openings, each year at GOYC
She would enjoy sitting outside at home, watching her birds, and scolding the squirrels at her bird feeders.
She would greet friends and family, with ‘Hello Darling” She will always be forever ‘Our Darling’
Friends and family will be received from 1-2pm on January 4, 2025, at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, with services to follow.

Karen was my sales rep for my business advertising in the Lancaster County Magazine for several years. We always had a friendly and warm email exchange, as she would help me with last minute ad changes or tweaks or layout advice. I was always very fond of her, and I am so sorry to learn of her passing. Sending my deepest condolences to her family and friends.

It hurts my heart that you had to go through all the pain. You were always so nice to me and I’ll never forget that. You always made me feel included in your house even tho I didn’t feel too good about myself. She wanted me to fly out to Delaware with her and her dad but since that would of caused to much chaos with Jack I didn’t go. I think about that all the time. She used to visit me way back in the day. And she always made me feel better. I was such a mess. We will all continue to remember you. There are so many memories. You held my hand at grams viewing. That meant so much. You are one one of a kind.

I am so sad to know that I’ll never again hear our sweet Karen say “hello darling” as I walk into her home or see her at a family function. I’m completely devastated that she’s gone. From day one I loved her and I considered her family even before she was. I feel honored to have known and loved her all these years. Everyone loved her. She had that something special that just made you want to be around her. I know everyone is devastated at the loss of such a wonderful person. RIP Karen! To Mike, Samantha and Shelia, I am so, so sorry for your loss. My heart is breaking for you all. Hearing this sad news has shook me to the core. She is and always will be loved and missed dearly! I feel lucky and blessed to have been loved by her. Thankyou Mike for bringing her into our family. She belonged in our family. Just know that the 4 of you were her world, we spoke of it many times! She loved you all dearly!
Love always,
Tonya
