I am sure that anyone who reads this will agree with me that Kay was kind, patient, loving, and very generous. She was also a darn good cook (her baked mac and cheese is still my gold standard, and I have never had one as good as the one she made for us). She a great sense of humor, and I’ll always remember the sound of her laugh. I know that when you are a kid, you are supposed to dread the times when Aunts hug you, but I always looked forward to Kay’s hugs. I was always fascinated by Aunt Kay’s long, thick hair, and marveled at her ability to put it up in elaborate styles. My favorite memory of her was one of the times that she did the same for me, and my hair looked almost as good as hers.
We will all remember what a blessing she was to us!

To Kay’s family I extend my deepest sympathy and prayers. I am the Pastoral Assistant at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Lancaster. I got to know Kay when I visited there for our monthly Mass and weekly Communion Services. When Kay wasn’t feeling up to coming to the chapel for either, I would visit in her room. We had many good conversations filled with much laughter. I will miss her and those visits. Enteral rest grant to her, O Lord. Jean Nikolaus
