I knew Kelly when he attended DM school , I was one of instructors then we ran into each other in 3/3 and I was his Company Gunny. Very motivated while doing his job and such a strong personality. It crushes me to hear and read about his passing. Through tough times and good times, love you brother. To the family I’m sorry for your loss and if there is anything that needs assistance please reach out to me. 210 749 8353, Ricardo Gill. Or as Kelly said Gunny Gill.

Brother we served together thru some tuff times. Finding this out thru the chain really hurts. Last we spoke we had a real heart to heart about things. You were a great leader, a phenomenal Marine and one of my best friends. Unreal reading this. Sender Fidelis,
Sgt. Robinson

Always sad to hear when one of the brothers you served with is gone. I only have good memories with Claar from Camp Allen, rest easy brother until Valhalla. To his loved ones, I’m truly sorry to hear of your loss. – RJ

Nelson and Janet – This is Patti Balmer (Bob and Jean Balmer’s daughter), now Patti Boren. I am so very sorry for the loss of your grandson. I know the pain that comes with losing a loved one. I lost my brother(Randy) and my husband (John) in 2012, and my dad in 2014. How precious are the promises of our Savior when He said, “I go and prepare a place for you, so that where I am, there you may be also.” Know that I am praying for you and the whole family to feel His presence and His peace.
With Love,
Patti Boren

Reading this obituary seems so surreal. Kelly is one of the best friends I have ever had. We went through some of the toughest times of our lives together. Most of my fondest memories are with Kelly, just last week myself and Sovichea were talking about Kelly wondering how he was doing. From getting into mischief out in VA beach, to having each others back, he’s always been there to keep me going. -Cory

May peace and love fill Kelly and the lives he touched. He will live in the hearts left behind. Memories are the consolation for a life too short lived. Lisa Friday
