Kevin R. Carpenter, 52
September 08, 2024
Kevin R. Carpenter, 52, of Lancaster, PA, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Elizabeth (Reiff) and Leslie Carpenter. Kevin was the beloved husband of Angela “Angie” (Pletcher) Carpenter, with whom he shared over 28 years of marriage.
He was a loving father to his children: Mariah Carpenter-Meehan, wife of Brian, Tyler Carpenter, husband of Holly, Faith Carpenter, and Nelson Toro-Bitts, all of Lancaster. Kevin was also the proud “Grumps” to his three grandchildren, Emerson Meehan, Bailee Carpenter, and Rhys Meehan. He is also survived by his brother Jim Carpenter, husband of Sherri, his Aunt Dottie, and many nieces and nephews.
Kevin’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but he will remain forever in their hearts.
A man of many passions, Kevin enjoyed fishing and caring for reptiles, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was an enthusiastic fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Chicago Bears, UFC, and WWE, and a devoted listener of the Mike and George Show from Susquehanna Tackler to Susquehanna Fish and Tackle. For over 15 years, Kevin shared his love for sports as a dedicated basketball coach at St. Anne’s, mentoring and guiding young athletes. Kevin had recently discovered a new passion for cooking on his Blackstone grill, where he enjoyed experimenting with hibachi-style meals for his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home and Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Family and friends will be received from 2 PM until the time of service. Inurnment will be private.

Thinking of you all and praying for comfort and peace. I’m sorry I can’t be there with you at this time but I will see you when I get home. Kevin fought a long and hard fight as he wanted to be with all of you as long as he could. He loved you all so very much! I’m thankful for the time I had with him even if it was in the hospital. We had wonderful conversations and a lot of reminiscing. May God watch over you and give you peace and strength. I love you all. Aunt Dottie
