Condolences to the Family

I did not know Konnor, but I came across his grave on a walk of my dogs through Mountville Cemetery on Sunday, November 28.  All three Collies went to Konnor’s grave and sat down…something they have never done in all our walks through the cemetery.  Their reaction was so odd that I decided to investigate and came across this obituary and found that Konnor loved dogs.  Not sure what this means, but thought I would drop a note.  Based on below, Konnor is a beloved son, relative and friend.  We will always walk past his grave and remember all the wonderful things related by everyone below.

I met Konnor’s mother on a walk through the cemetery with my dog on Wednesday, November 10. I could see the grief in her eyes as she mourned her precious  son. She is a dear woman and I thank God for putting her in my path that afternoon. We hugged and cried together as if we had known each other for longer than that brief but meaningful encounter. As I walk my dog each day past Konnor’s grave, I will pray for the Lord’s peace to be with her and all of those who loved Konnor so very much.

Konnor was a sweetheart. We worked several shifts at Rutter’s. Shared many laughs are stories. Such a blessing to have him our lives. He gave gifts to my first child. He will be missed by several. I’m so sorry to his family, girlfriend, friends, Rutter’s associates and all that came in contact with Konnor. He always jokes about me being his “work mom.”
Miss you ‘work son.’

I am so very sorry for the loss of your Konnor. He was so young and handsome. I’ll never forget the day we lost our beautiful sister Dracula on a motorcycle in Landisburg, Pa back in 1963. I learned then to hate motorcycles with a passion as a young 13 year old boy. Please accept my deepest condolences. May God’s grace give you all peace in this great loss. Uncle Ken Gatten

My name is Melissa Papez and my daughter Hannah attended her senior prom with Konnor.  I cannot imagine what you are all going through and I wanted to reach out and let you know that I am thinking about you and praying that you will be able to feel God’s comfort during this difficult time.  I did not have the opportunity to get to know Konnor very well, but all of the times that I had interactions with him, he was very kind and respectful.  He was a good friend to my daughter during their senior year of high school and he treated her like a gentleman.  I am so very sorry for your loss.
