Condolences to the Family

Don, Chad and Erik,  As I looked at the family during the service, my first thought was Laura would be so very proud of her family.  Thank you for putting the service on utube so we could also be present to share your grief and the celebration of her life.  I remembered she loved her travels but did not realize there were so very many.  The picture books she made will be a wonderful remembrance for all of you. Personally, I recall our trips to NYC and one time waiting in line at the half price ticket booth…in the rain.   We had many adventures during our day trips.   Please know we send you our sincerest condolences, peace and love.  We are very sorry for your loss.

Carl and I extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family Don.  I will miss Laura walking by our house.  She always stopped and talked.  Peggy and Carl Bruce

Don and family, I worked with Laura at Armstrong where she was always very friendly and energetic. I didn’t know about her educational and teaching background previously, but it makes sense to me now because she was also a very smart and sharp lady. God bless you as I’m sure He is embracing her now.

Dear Don, Chad & Erlk, I met Laura when we moved to Brownsburg, Indiana, in June, 1981.  At that time, I became fast friends with her as we were both becoming involved with the Welcome Wagon organization.   She was such a kind and friendly person-made me feel at home in Brownsburg.  We did lots of activities together—took Chad, Erik and our daughter Sarah right along with us—we never missed a beat!  I truly enjoyed knowing her and working with her!  She enriched the lives of everyone who knew her.   I was truly blessed to be her friend.   You are in my prayers during this very sad time!!!  God Bless you!  (I’m not sure you’ll remember us, but I’ll always cherish my memories of your family!)  MaryAnn & Paul Hamilton

Sincere condolences to Laura’s family. I knew her as far back as “Gudren” at St Paul’s Lutheran in Chicago Heights. Always a pleasant and ebullient person, yet often very reserved, she will be sorely missed. George Albrecht

I remember Aunt Laura’s love of travel, and documenting her adventures in elaborate scrapbooks. She and Uncle Don got to experience the world! I think the last time I saw her was at my wedding where I remember feeling her support. So very sad to say goodbye and sending you strength, and peace. Love, Liesa Wierschke Taylor
