Following graduation from Carrollton High School, Carrollton, OH in 1951, Larry enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving four years as an aviation radar technician in Navy Squadron VC-4. After being honorably discharged Larry received an accounting degree from Ohio University.

I have had the pleasure and joy to have gotten to know Larry and June over the past few years. Larry always had a story to tell and I was always an eager listener. I knew he lived his life to experience it, not be a passive bystander. I will miss our time together Larry but will continue to take good care of your lovely bride:)

Many years ago my late wife, Myrtle and I bought Larry and June’s house on Scott Ave. We lived there until Myrtle’s death almost 16 years ago. I later married Barbara Spitler, widow of Joe Spitler. After our marriage we moved to Barb’s house on Geffs Ave and live there now. We sold the Scott Ave house and can report it is being well taken care of. Joe and Barb and Myrtle and I knew Larry and June and always enjoyed their company when we’d meet. Joe and Barb and Myrtle and I had been friends for about 50 years. I am sorry for June and the children – although none are really children now. One of my favorite scriptures is found in Isaiah 26:1 – 4. Please read it and gain comfort from it. Barb and I will see you “over there” one fine day!

As a fellow Navy vet , It was truly and honor and pleasure to have met this man and to be able to be one of his care takers during his days leading up to transition. I wish I could’ve met him under different circumstances but God knows best Always. As a nurse, it’s my duty to make sure I provide the upmost comfort and care for individuals- with this I can honestly say I’m happy I was able to do this for Mr. Larry.
To the family, My deepest of condolences. Even from pictures I can surly tell He was an outstanding guy.
May Mr. Larry continue to rest peacefully.
With Honor , Respect & Support -Deja♥️.
