Leo J. Hoffman, Jr., 73

Leo Joseph Hoffman, Jr., 73, of Macungie, PA, passed away on December 19, 2024, and is now in the embrace of his Lord and Savior. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Leo, Sr. and Ida (Zepp) Hoffman. He was married 46 years to his beloved wife Helen (Flora) Hoffman until her passing in 2020.
Leo worked his entire career in the wastewater treatment industry ultimately retiring from the City of York. Leo was passionate about God’s creation and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Sports were also a big part of Leo’s life, whether he was rooting for the Phils, umpiring softball, or playing two-hand touch football. Leo was generous and always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. Leo loved being Pap Pap and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. Leo accepted Jesus as his Savior later in life and wanted all to know about the hope he found. Leo was ready to go Home to his Savior. His faith is now his eyes.
Leo is survived by his daughter Catherine “Kate” Swedberg (Brian), 3 stepchildren: Richard Wolf (Erika), Beth Ann Harris (Martin), and Ann Louise Acker; 12 grandchildren: Alexia Keagy, Cullen Wolf, Morgan Wolf, David Swedberg, Mark Swedberg, Rachel Swedberg, Erin Acker, Kalyn Acker-Ruelas, Kiel Acker, Samantha Mitchell, Mitchell Harris, and Weylan Harris; numerous great-grandchildren, and 6 siblings: Joshua Hoffman, Jerry Hoffman (Dawn), Mark Hoffman (Joyce), Robert Hoffman (Colleen), Ann Marie Sexton (Larry), and Mary Greenawalt (Barry). He was predeceased by his 4 siblings: Irene Kamm, Catherine Jenkins, Greg Hoffman, and Paul Hoffman; stepson Edward Mitchell, and grandson Stephen Mitchell.
The family will receive guests from 4-6 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A memorial service will be held at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Leo’s name to American Heart Association, heart.org.
