Leo J. “Jim” Nace, Jr., 60

Leo J. “Jim” Nace, Jr.,60, longtime resident of Columbia, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy surrounded by his loving family. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Leo J. Nace, Sr. and the late Louise (Lindenberger) Nace. He was the companion of Mary (Nau) Kendig.
Jim was a 1976 graduate of Columbia High School and went onto work at Kahn Lucas Manufacturing for about 10 years. He then went onto work for the former Texas Eastern pipeline where he retired in June of 2017, after 31 years of service.
He was a longtime member of the Columbia-Middletown Elks Lodge #1074 where he served on the House Committee. Jim was also a member of the Sunsnappers of Columbia, Loyal Order of the Moose club, Catholic War Veterans club and the Columbia Fraternal Association.
Jim was an avid golfer. He enjoyed his weekly Monday outings with the Elks group, golf trips to Myrtle Beach, as well as the many road trips to play other top-notch courses with his friends. He loved the Philadelphia Eagles and was a loyal friend to many.
Jim is survived by his sister, Barbara N., wife of William P. “Bill” Koehler, Jr. of Columbia; two nephews, Jesse D. Koehler, husband of Tera of Lancaster, Justin W. Koehler, companion of Summer Lynn, of Columbia; three great-nieces: Emma, Carly and Ruby, one great-nephew, Brady and a host of loving aunts, uncles and extended family.
A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends will be received from 9-11AM at the funeral home on Saturday. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim’s memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.

I worked with “Nacee” briefly at Marietta Station back in the ’80s. Jim was the nicest guy you’d ever meet. Please accept my condolences for your family’s loss; I’m sure Jim will be missed by many folks.
