Leticia Navedo, 65

Leticia Navedo, 65 of Lancaster passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy surrounded by her loving family following a battle with the non-curable ALS. Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of the late Miguel Angel Alvarez and Mariana Pantojas Elias. She was married to Rafael Navedo, Jr. for over 44 years.
She was a homemaker most of her life and earlier in life attended medical school in Arecibo, PR. Leticia loved dancing, cooking, doing crossword puzzles and volunteered at many schools around the city. She was very loving and was feeding the homeless whenever she had the chance and was known for selling the best freezies in Lancaster.
Leticia was a member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three daughters, Jackelene Ruiz wife of Reinaldo, Lillian Enid Fuentes wife of Rene and Brenda Ruiz wife of Hermes all of Lancaster. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Carlito, Veronica, Frankie and Marcus; a brother, Miguel Angel Alvarez Pantojas of MA; three sisters, Norma Iris Reyes Pantojas, Maritza Reyes Pantojas both of Puerto Rico and Hilda Marguerita Alvarez Pantojas of MA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St, Lancaster, PA with Rev. Allan F. Wolfe as Celebrant. A viewing will be from 9-11AM at the church on Tuesday. Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. Flowers will be received.
