Linda L. Parke, 75
July 14, 2024
Linda L. Parke, age 75, peacefully passed away on July 14, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones at Hospice and Community Care. Born in Smithville, Linda was the daughter of the late Donald and Dorothy (Swain) Findley.
Linda delighted in her role as a dedicated housekeeper at Masonic Village, where she provided comfort and care to those in need. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She found immense pleasure in the simple joys of life, from attending car shows, particularly those featuring her favorite car, the Miata, to enjoying serene days at the beach. A lover of outdoor activities, Linda relished in playing pickleball, biking, four-wheeling, and hiking. When indoors, she found solace in scrapbooking and reading, relishing every moment spent lost in the pages of a book. Above all, her most precious time was spend with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by her devoted husband, Pete Parke, of Mount Joy; along with her children, Tammy Fasnacht of Mount Joy and Bo Parke, husband of Susan, of West Chester; her five grandchildren Stephanie, Stephen, Olivia, Brennen, and Jenna; and her three great-grandchildren Jayden, Cameron, and Ava.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 from 1pm to 2pm with a celebration of Linda’s life to follow at 2 PM. Linda is my grandmother, Nanny. She has been the best grandmother that I could have ever asked for. She set a standard for kindness and selflessness in our family. When I look back on the time we spent together; I smile, and I remember her positivity, warmth, and love. I feel blessed to have her as a grandmother and role model.
I love you Nanny,
Brennen
