Lisa M. Blakeslee, 60

Lisa M. Blakeslee, 60, of Glenside, PA, and formerly of Lancaster, passed away on February 19, 2024 in Abington, PA.
Born in Akron, OH, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. Jr. and Mary A. Aardrup Blakeslee.
Lisa loved her job at the Occupational Development Center in Lancaster for 30 years. To this day she is known as the fastest “spikes” packer there. She enjoyed her time with her coworkers and especially her one-on-one aide Jess.
Lisa was beloved by her family. She loved to laugh and to be helpful to others. She enjoyed bowling and participated in the Special Olympics. She was an avid people watcher and bingo player. Lisa enjoyed watching game shows and the Phillies. She also liked animals and loved Mickey Mouse. Lisa traveled with her beloved care-giver Carol twice to see Mickey in Florida.
Lisa was a Lutheran. In passing Lisa contributed to the Gift of Life donor program.
Lisa is survived by her sisters: Diane married to Jack Saarela of Wyncote, PA and Susan married to Gary Landis Jr of Red Lion, PA; her two nephews Luke and Jesse Saarela; and her cousins: Karen Hampton, Lars Snavely, and Tim and Jeff Aardrup.
Friends will be received by Lisa’s family on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 2-3PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA with the Memorial Service to follow at 3PM. Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in her memory to the Occupational Development Center, 640 Martha Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601.
