Lois M. Klein, 82

Lois M. (Stumm) Klein, 82, of New Holland passed away Monday, October 26, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mildred D. (Derkin) and Elmer H. Stumm. She was the wife and partner of her loving husband, the late Francis “Nick” Klein, with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage.
Lois graduated from Elizabethtown and received her Associates degree from Montgomery County Community College majoring in Human Services. Lois was a former member of St. Teresa of Avila, where she was President of the Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 662 Ladies Auxiliary.
In her free time, Lois enjoyed dancing with her husband, Nick, traveling and her Wednesday night Poker Club. She volunteered in Audubon at the Women’s’ Club where she was very active. Lois loved spending her summers on the beach in Avalon reading and enjoying the company of her friends. She was known for her love of entertaining and having fabulous dinner parties. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her loving family and her cat Winnie.
Lois is survived by her daughters Jennifer (Michael) Hopper of New Holland and Mariela (Walter) Lalame Rosero of Quito Ecquador; 3 grandchildren: Nicole, wife of Cris Killion of New Holland, Greg Klein (Kristin Shank) of Eagleville and Megan Hopper (Nick Catalano) of Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick, an infant daughter, Leslie Klein and a son, James Klein.
A Celebration of Life will be in the future Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lois’s memory may be made to Masonic Children’s Home Office of Gift Planning, One Masonic Drive Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
