Lynda D. (Brown) Lefever, 57, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Born in Culpeper, VA, she was a daughter of Herb Brown and the late Joyce M. (Lindsay) Brown. Lynda was the beloved wife of Sharon (Sweeney) Gudgeon, with who she shared over four years of marriage.
Lynda was a 1980 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. She was employed by Manheim Township in the maintenance department. Lynda enjoyed being outdoors. She loved camping, fishing, hiking and traveling. She loved her Baltimore Orioles and was a childhood Colts fan. Most of all, Lynda loved to spend time with her family. Lynda loved to laugh. She will be remembered for her wit and sense of humor as well as her caring and compassionate soul.
A loving wife, daughter and mother, Lynda is survived by her soulmate Sharon (Sweeney) Gudgeon of Walsall, England; her son Travis Lefever of Lancaster and her father, Herb Brown of Arnold, MD and her brother Brian Brown of Arnold, MD. In addition to her mother, Lynda was preceded in death by her mother Joyce M. Brown.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Lynda’s life at 2PM, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, PA 17551. Friends and family will be received from 1PM-2PM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lynda’s memory may be made to Community Hospice, 101 Good Dr Ste 1, Lancaster and Pet Pantry, 26 Millersville Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603.
