I met Norm when he was my Company Commander in Germany when I was a 1st Lieutenant. He was a great friend and a selfless soldier who would always stand up for his soldiers. He always thought of himself as a soldier first and made many sacrifices in his personal life to carry out the mission. I will miss my friend and the great conversations we used to have.
