Malcolm T. Kenderdine, 90
March 17, 2024
Malcolm T. Kenderdine, 90, of Leola, formerly of Newtown, went home to be with his Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Born in Newtown, he was the son of the late William S. and Helia M. (Evans) Kenderdine. Malcolm was the loving husband of Rosemarie (Brennan) Kenderdine, with whom he would have celebrated 30 years of marriage in December.
Malcolm was a 1951 graduate of Council Rock High School and proudly served in the US Army during peacetime from 1956 until 1958. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Newtown where he worked in the family’s heating and fuel oil business, eventually becoming a partner with his brother, Robert.
A member of Calvary Baptist Church of Lancaster, he faithfully followed the Lord, being born again in March 1955, in the same room where he had been born. Malcolm was involved in many church ministries over the years including inner city Philadelphia church ministry from, 1988 until 1997, church soul-winning, bus ministry, deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, and ushering.
Malcolm faithfully read and studied the Bible, loved listening to Christian music, especially the old hymns of the faith, enjoyed spending afternoons watching the trains at Strasburg Railroad, and reading about History.
In addition to his wife, Rose, Malcolm is survived by his sons: W. Mark Kenderdine, husband of Lori, of Feasterville, John T. Kenderdine, husband of Sherry, of Leola, Robert S.
