Margaret Anne McCullough, 96

April 11, 2024

Margaret Anne McCullough, 96, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the Southeastern Veterans Center. Margaret was born in East Orange, NJ, on December 12, 1927 to the late Anne Margaret (Potter) and Edwin Dudley LeRoy.

Margaret was a proud veteran of the Women’s Army Corps (US Army). In civilian life, Margaret worked as an Admissions Clerk at San Jose City College and Evergreen Valley College in California. Margaret enjoyed reading and found great pleasure in exploring the world through books. Margaret loved “going for a ride” wherever the car took her and one of her favorite rides was to and around Pike County, PA, reminiscing about summers spent there as a child. Margaret was a fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers and loved “discussing” baseball stats with her grandfather.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Barbara “Bobbi” Devendorf of Lancaster, and son Dennis Berry (Gene) of Clark, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Margaret Nicholson, and Charlotte Yettaw, 7 great grandchildren, a niece Trish Seidle, a nephew Andy Stone, and many close cousins. Margaret was preceded in death by her grandson, David Killey, as well as her sister, Barbara (Boj) Stone.

Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation, www.komen.org.

Margaret’s life was rich and filled with love, hobbies, and cherished memories. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
