When our son had brain surgery for a malignant tumor in the summer of 2011, María and her husband, Ramón, gave us an incredible support by visiting us at NIH, in Baltimore, after more than two hours of traveling by car. It was the first time we met them, for which we will have an eternal gratitude for this gesture. I recall that her niece and my neighbor in Puerto Rico, called them and they responded with this unexpected visit, that filled our hearts with joy and peace. We shall always remember María for her kindness, nobility of heart, and unconditional support, in the moments most needed by us. As we pray for her eternal rest, we also pray for Ramón and his family, that God fill their hearts with faith and strength, as we know that she will be very much missed. God bless!
