To the Madonna and Lehman family, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Rose was always like a second grandmother to me, always there to comfort and encourage. I will always carry fond memories of her and Joe with me from my childhood and beyond. It is a comfort to know that they are back together in each other’s loving arms. God bless.

I will always remember when we went Christmas caroling next door to Joe & Rose Madonna’s house with my church small group. We sang, We wish you a Merry Christmas and Silent night. Rose cried the entire time and thanked us for such a special night. We made her night and we knew it was meant to be. Joe & Rose loves our kids and Joe showed them how to care for tomato plants! We love them both!

We lived next door to Joe & Rose at 219 East Clay St. At our 1 year anniversary we invited them over for a piece of wedding cake that we saved from our wedding. We asked them for marital advice and this is what they said, Joe said “always eat whatever she makes to make her happy. Rose said, always communicate and never stop talking”. Joe and Rose were the sweetest neighbors anyone could ask for. They cherished my kids and always treated them (us) like family. We were blessed to have them as neighbors! We offer up sincere condolences to your lovely family.

Dear Mary Jane and Bob, Erica and Robert and Terry and Tony,
Fond memories your Mom & Dad at all of Erica & Sarah’s basketball and field hockey games!! It was so much fun rooting for the kids and also at the Girls LCHS games too. Also at all the elementary school events, they were always there! It was always comforting to see their support for the grandkids and their smiling faces at the games. I’m so happy Rose and Joe are now reunited, together again!! She will always be with you in spirit! God’s comfort to all of you at this time.

Maria will be so missed at the Long Community! She was such a joy to work, never a complaint during therapy sessions and always taking time to ask about our lives. She made the best theraputty meatballs 🙂 Not a session went by without her talking so fondly about her late husband and her supportive family. We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to know her and her family. Praying for comfort for her family and rejoicing that she is reunited with Joe. Kourtney & Justin Randsdorp

Mary Jane, Tony, & Teresa, You have our deepest sympathies on the passing of your mother. I always remember her smile – even when she was out yelling at all us kids to not get in trouble or time for supper. Mom (Lois) had run into her from time to time in recent years since she was at Long Home and they always enjoyed talking. Sincerely, Lois, Bonnie, Doug & Wanda Nolt
