Marian L. Victor, 89
July 28, 2020
Marian L. Victor, 89, of Lititz passed away with her family by her side on July 28, 2020. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Marian (Shane) Pryor and the wife of the late John D. Victor, who passed in 1997.
A graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School, Marian briefly worked for Lancaster General Hospital as a credit manager in their business office. She dedicated most of her life to being a homemaker, but worked part time at clothing store and for the School District of Lancaster as a lunchroom and playground attendant. She took great pride in her home and kept it pristine. Marian enjoyed reading books, collecting small stuffed bears, and, most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Marian was a Christian and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church for 50 years before becoming a member at Redeemer Lutheran.
She is survived by her daughters; Beth Pierce (Jim) and Leslie Bourassa (Joseph), five grandchildren; Amy Menges, Melissa Irvin, Elizabeth Pierce, Kyle Victor, and Shain Bourassa, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Marian is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, her parents, a sister, Betty Jane Rhineer, and her infant son, John R. Victor.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 3, 2020 at 11:00AM at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz. Guests will be received prior to the service starting at 10:00AM. Interment will be held at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 2nd Lock Rd., Lancaster. Condolences to the Family
September 04, 2020
To the family of Marion Victor my deepest condolences. I met your mother at Legends at Lititz while visiting my husband Bob. I sat with my husband Bob almost daily & also Marion, Tim and others while they had their dinners and I got to know your mother well. We talked a lot and it was easy to see how much she loved her family. I had the opportunity to meet her granddaughter. It made her so happy & proud. She would watch out for my husband and tell me if he was eating his breakfast & lunches, since he was losing weight so fast. I was so hoping since March 12th to go to visit my husband and others but on July 4 th my husband Bob passed away, suddenly. So many have passed away since I was there last. It must have been very confusing for them as to why they could not have visitors inside. I sat with Marion many times just to talk when I visited Bob and hope to continue visiting others that I grew fond of when they allow visitors in the building again. Since they are now allowing an outside visit for 25 minutes with family members, which I’m not, but I could not get permission. Your mother would have been the first on my list to visit if they were to allow friends and not only family. Please know that I respected your mother and I thought she was an awesome person and I easially felt a connection with Marion. If you ever want to get in touch with me my number is 717-568-8047.
