Marianna Lombardo, 95

April 05, 2025

Marianna Lombardo, 95, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Filomena Lupica and the beloved wife of the late Joseph Lombardo.

Born in Gasperina, Italy, Marianna moved to the United States in her 30s and worked as a seamstress for most of her life. She was a beautiful and caring woman who always put others before herself. A devout Catholic, she followed the teachings of St. Anthony and was a longtime member of St. Anthony of Padua Church.

Marianna was known for her amazing cooking and generous heart—she was always ready to feed anyone who came to her door. She had a personality as big as the love she shared with her family, who will forever cherish the memory of her Sunday pasta dinners.

She is survived by her children: Mary Anne Begelfer, Dominic Lombardo, and Salvatore Lombardo; as well as seven cherished grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph, and her daughter, Josephine.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 East Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. The family will receive visitors from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. before the service. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Caring Hospice.

Marianna will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
