Marianne A. Schaller, 93

Marianne A. Schaller, aged 93, passed away on December 28, 2023. Born to the late Alfons Adam and Anna H. (Ruppert) Adam, she grew up on a farm in Strasburg. She graduated from McCaskey High School. After high school, she went to St. Joseph School of Nursing and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Villanova.
Marianne went on to marry the late Francis X. Schaller, sharing 66 happy years. She stepped away from nursing to take care of her children. She was a natural born caregiver and found great joy in her family.
Marianne loved to garden with her husband and they grew vast amounts of vegetables for their family, friends, and neighbors. She had a loving heart for everyone around her. She was devoted to her faith and was a member of Sacred Heart Church for 65 years. She volunteered for VisionCorps for over 40 years.
Marianne is survived by her children: Anna Kirchner (Jeff), Christina Burroughs (Bill), Rose Ann Schaller and Francis F Schaller; and grandchildren, William and Michelle and their spouses.
Marianne was preceded in death by her son, Michael Schaller; her husband, Francis; and her sister, Hilda A. Kring.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 10AM to 11AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W Walnut St., Lancaster, PA 17603. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM. Burial will take place at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery following services. For those that are unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at: SnyderFuneralHome.com.
