Marie B. Treubert, 88

July 8, 1935 - October 26, 2023

Marie B. Treubert, aged 88, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Legend Senior Living in Lancaster, PA. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eric Burgess and Wilhelmina Bartholomei Burgess. Marie was the loving wife of Werner Robert Treubert who passed away in 1976.

Marie grew up in Brooklyn and Queens, NY, and lived most of her adult life in Kings Park, NY on Long Island. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Smithtown NY where she served as an elder and worked for many years as the church administrator at the First Presbyterian Church of Northport NY. Marie moved to Lancaster in 2014 to be closer to her family.

Marie loved to tell stories about growing up in New York City and about her travels to Central and South America. She was an avid shopper who enjoyed nothing more than a Saturday spent at TJ Maxx, or a quiet evening at home watching QVC.

Marie is survived by her daughter Suzanne Treubert Skinner (husband Jim), her beloved grandsons Daniel Bezek (wife Nicole) and Peter Bezek (fiance Morgan Bowen), and her dear great-grandson Malibu Bezek. She was preceded in death by her siblings Bill Burgess, Dorothy Maier, Joan Solt and Tom Burgess. Marie will be buried at Long Island National Cemetery with her husband Werner.
