Marie F. Eshleman. 87 years old, passed away quietly in her sleep on February 24, 2024, at Landis Homes in Lititiz, PA.
Born in Manor Township on June 28, 1936, to Clayton and Ethel(Frey) Walk.
She was married to James D. Eshleman on September 1,1957 who preceded her in death on March 25, 2022. They were married 65 years at his death.
She is survived by her son, Brain Keith Eshleman, husband of Lugene Eshleman; grandson Chad Eshleman, husband of Jennifer Eshleman; and a great granddaughter, Anna Jade (A.J.) Eshleman.
Marie met Jim, her husband, while working as a cashier at John Herr’s Village Market, Millersville. She worked there early in her life and then later in her life in the front office and behind the scenes. She then later went on to own John Herr’s Village Market in 2001 with her husband and son. In between, she was a homemaker and enjoyed volunteering for many community groups. She spent a large part of her free time with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Millersville Fire Company, as her husband was Fire Chief there too for over 37 years. She served as President and Vice President of the Auxiliary over the years. There she would be found in the firehouse kitchen serving meals to many of numerous rental functions on the weekends. She also helped with Millersville Meals on Wheels.
Marie was a true dog lover. She had many beloved dogs throughout her life. She also enjoyed the numerous birds and squirrels that would visit her several feeders in her yard.
The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest at the Masonville Mennonite Cemetery in Conestoga, beside her husband and mother and father.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to ORCA of Lancaster or Blue Rock Fire Rescue, Millersville.

We are sorry to see that your mom passed away but she has probably been lonely without your dad so now they are together. We always enjoyed seeing her at Herr’s Market and talking with her. Our condolences.
