Mark S. Mohr, 64
September 12, 2024
Mark S. Mohr, 64, of Lancaster, passed away on September 12, 2024, following a battle with cancer. Born in Lancaster to Gertrude and the late Donald J. Mohr, Mark dedicated his career life to masonry and took great pride in his craft. He finished his last few years of employment at Clark Associates.
Mark loved spending weekends at his cabin on the Susquehanna River, where he enjoyed boating, campfires, and relaxing in nature. He loved his family above all and took pride in helping his children with house renovations and passing along his skills and knowledge.
Mark loved hunting, bird watching, fishing, and rooting for the Phillies & Eagles. He spent many years coaching soccer and teaching Sunday school, sharing his love of sports and faith with the next generation. Mark was deeply family-oriented and was known for his sense of humor. His grandchildren lovingly called him “Pop,” and he cherished every moment picking black raspberries with them and making jelly. He also loved playing pinochle with his cousins and uncle.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Hewes Mohr, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage, and their children: Anne Adams (Taylor), Yvonne Specht (Shane), Luke Mohr (Victoria), and Isaac Mohr (Hadassah). He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren: Carter, Brooklyn, Makenzie, Halle, Hayes, Beckham, Cianna, Charles, Bennett, Nathan, and a baby boy on the way. Mark is further survived by his mother, Gertrude, and his brother, Michael Mohr (Jamie).
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Mohr, and his siblings Christine Maitland, Donald Mohr Jr., and David Mohr.
A memorial service will be held on September 21, 2024, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 2421 Willow Street Pike, at 11am with Pastor Mark Thiboldeaux officiating. Guests are invited to greet family one hour prior to service.

I met Mr. Mohr around 10 years ago in Costa Rica, I was learning English at the church that the GAP program for his son Luke was taking place at. He was a wise man who very patiently had a conversation with a barely English speaker at that time, I hold dear this family and mourn with them. So long my friend. Esteban Chaves

I will always remember what a great person and role model Mr. Mohr was. He was a fantastic soccer coach as a young kid growing up with Luke and Isaac, and I have many fond memories spending time with your family. If only more people in this world could be like Mark, the world would be a much better place. Sending my thoughts, prayers and condolences to the family. Miss you all!

I am so sorry to hear of Mark’s passing. I knew Mark in high school, but didn’t get many opportunities to see him after that. What I remember most about Mark is that he was just such a decent, kind, stand-up person. I’ve heard in bits and pieces about how the Mohr clan evolved over the years. Donna and Mark created such a wonderful family. My heart goes out to all of you who loved him and I wish you peace. Love you Donna. Susan Wint
