Martha L. Cunningham, 83
Martha L. Blevins Cunningham, 83, of 103 Brusen Dr., Lititz and more recently of Lancashire Hall, died Thursday at the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center.
Born in Marion, VA, she was the daughter of the late Laura Rotenberry, and was the wife of the late Geams Roby Blevins, who died in 1959.
Martha was a homemaker and a member of Conestoga Valley Church of Christ.
As a young person, Martha was taught to be very self-sufficient, and became a woman of many talents, which included gardening. A person who loved music, she enjoyed dancing, singing, and listening to music, especially Lawrence Welk and Mitch Miller. She was thoughtful of others, helping neighbors and friends when she could. She was also an avid collector of old family photos.
Martha is survived by 4 daughters: Becky A. Himelwright of Lancaster; Candace L., married to Robert J. Walter of Havertown; Brenda J., married to Weldon Winebarger of Lititz; Cathy M. Blevins of Lancaster; and 3 sons: Geams R. Blevins CW4 of Lititz; David L., married to Karen Blevins of Lititz; and John J., married to Carol L. Blevins of Leola. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She also had 4 brothers and one sister, all from Virginia.
Friends will be received on Monday from 10-11AM from the Charles Snyder Jr. Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA , with the funeral services to follow at 11AM. Interment in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to support Martha’s love of music should be sent to Coventry Christian Music Program, 699 N.
