Marva Louise Curry, 72
Marva Louise Curry, 72, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 19th 2012. Born in Blairsville PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jesse Clark Patterson and Ellen Alice Jackson.
Marva served as an Evangelist, play writer, and poet who attended Kensington High School in Philadelphia and later received her G.E.D. She worked as a bank teller at the Fidelity Bank in Newark, New Jersey. As an Evangelist, she traveled and ministered in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and other places. As a play writer, she wrote 2 plays entitled, “Life, It’s Your Choice!” and “The Rapture!” Marva wrote many poems such as, “Mommy, Daddy, Talk to Me, tell me How Life is Suppose to Be!” and “Don’t Kill the Baby!” She was an active member of The Bridge of Faith Ministries located in Harrisburg, PA. She worked for Help is Here for 8 years which is an organization that provides financial support, clothing, and food for low income families in Orange, NJ.
Evangelist Marva Curry will be remembered most for Great Godly Love for people!
Marva is survived by 2 sons: Thomas J. Daniels of Mountville and Eric Daniels, husband of Merry Caine of Manheim Township; 2 brothers: Thomas E. Patterson and Raymond Patterson of Philadelphia; 1 sister: Elizabeth Patterson of New Jersey; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 7 nieces and 3 nephews.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Conestoga View Nursing Home that assisted our Mom through her last days.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 East King Street, Lancaster PA 17602.
