Mary C. Kline
Mary C. Kline, 80, of Lancaster, formerly of Landisville, died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at THE GLEN at Willow Valley following a brief illness.
Born in Lancaster, Mary was the daughter of the late Roland Caskey and Kathryn Smith Caskey. She was the widow of Francis Kline, who died July 28, 2002.
Mary was a bookkeeper for Design for Functional Interiors as well as several other local businesses, as well as the owner of the Shef’s Bread Board stand at Roots Market for 13 years.
Mary was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and the Ladies Pharmacy Auxiliary of Lancaster for over 40 years. She enjoyed writing short stories and once won a Reader’s Digest contest. She also enjoyed playing golf, reading, gardening, traveling, painting and making crafts, and was an avid bridge player. Above all, Mary loved spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Kathlynn A., wife of John J. “Jack” Mentzer of Landisville; three sons: Colin W., husband of Patricia A. McKinsey of East Petersburg; Larry J., husband of Katharine McKinsey of Inverness, FL; and Todd C. Wenger of Garnet Valley, PA; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Leo Caskey of Lancaster and Edward Caskey of Elizabethtown; and 3 sisters: Rita C. Snyder; Patricia Zeller and Janice Stork, all of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Supko.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, South Prince and Vine Streets, Lancaster, PA. A viewing will be held Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA. Interment in Riverview Burial Park. Please omit flowers.
