Mary E. Caruso

Mary E. Caruso died March 8, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Wilson “Boots” and Mary Walsh Bittner.
Mary was an extraordinary woman who earned a degree from Montgomery County Community College and together with Anthony D. Caruso, her late husband of 59 years, started an industrial real estate agency in Philadelphia, PA.
Mary enjoyed the social life in Phila. and was a longtime member of Whitemarsh Valley Country Club where she loved playing golf and dancing the night away with her husband. Mary had an admirable sense of style and fashion. She was a Master Gardener and enjoyed traveling the world. She enjoyed many years of retirement after relocating to Melbourne Beach, Florida in 1995 before making their final move to Willow Valley, Pa. in 2005.
Mary is survived by two sons, Anthony D. Caruso, Jr., husband of Cyndi (Gillentine) of Ponte Vedra, Beach, FL. and Noel C. Caruso, husband of Carole (Reddecliff) of Lancaster, PA. Mary was a loving grandmother to four grandsons, Zachary A. Caruso of Pittsburgh, PA, Anthony D. “Trey” Caruso, III, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, Chace A. Caruso of NYC and Taylor C. Caruso of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. She also leaves behind a sister Naomi “Judy” Morison, wife of William Morison of Kalamazoo, MI. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Tony Honor Caruso.
A memorial service will be held 3 PM Saturday March 15, 2014, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, with Pastor Mark J. Thiboldeaux officiating. Mary’s family will greet friends from 2-3 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.

We were deeply saddened to hear Mary died. She and Tony were great neighbors and friends. We have lovely memories of times we spent laughing and partying together.
