Mary J. Light

Mary J. Light was truly dedicated to her late father and mother, Dr. David M. and Jean Crisler Light. She enjoyed flower gardening, excelled collecting antique buttons, and danced to the stars! An avid reader, “Miss Light” remains especially beloved by her many students. Volunteering for ORCA, Mary adored her cats and Springer Spaniels.

Advent season meant giving her heart and wonderful gifts to her six nieces and two nephews. Mary was the wife of James Landis for 20 years. Jim and Mary camped and adventured through many forests and coastlines.

Mary will be greatly missed by all, especially her two sisters, Linda wife of Dennis Davish, Susan wife of Robert Stumpf , her stepson, Joshua Landis and faith husband Jim. Mary wishes love and peace to everyone.

A memorial Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King Street, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 11:00AM. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning, November 24, 2007 from 10-11:00AM. Contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to ORCA, 610 N. Lime Street, Lancaster, PA 17602.
