March 14, 2024
Mary Theresa (Will) Keller, 93, of Lancaster, PA passed away unexpectantly on March 14, 2024. Born on February 22, 1931 in New Baltimore, PA she was the daughter of the late Virginia (Topper) and Lawrence Will. She was the beloved wife to the late W. Philip Keller.
Her life began on a farm where Mary was the tenth of twelve children, her birth was immediately followed by her twin Rose Ann. As a young woman she worked at a local Howard Johnson where a tip from a truck driver led her to leave her small town and try life in Lancaster working at RCA. There she met Phil at a wedding where they were both attendants and were paired for the ceremony. Their first date was later that evening where Phil took her dancing at Hershey. Marriage and children followed, Mary did volunteer work, retail work at Watt & Shand and raised her family mostly proud to be an accomplished homemaker.
Mary had a warm heart and generous spirit, she lived a life filled with love, faith, and cherished moments with family and friends. Known for her pleasant demeanor she was always quick with a smile and a laugh. A devout Catholic, Mary often attended daily Mass and was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She was known for her fashion sense and was always well dressed, often wearing her favorite color red with matching red lipstick. Maryloved her time in the kitchen where she prepared meals and baked treats for everyone. She was especially known for her iced brownies, apple dumplings and sand tarts. Favorite memories of her grandchildren were summer picnics at the local park. Her favorite pastime was reading and was often found with “her head in a book”. Mary’s beautiful home was filled with pictures of family that she proudly showed to anyone who visited. Her favorite feature of her home was the view of her backyard filled with nature and animals.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughters Christine Weisser (Thomas) of Acworth, GA, Karen Keller-Eyer (Richard) of Lititz, Catherine Weisser (Stephen) of Lancaster and Gretchen Keller of Lancaster; her grandchildren: Jennifer (John), Laura (James), Caroline, Andrew, Benjamin (Stephanie), Gregory (Kayla), Christopher (Kathleen), Lynda, Stephen, Jonathan and Nathan (Eleni); her great grandchildren: Colin, Emersyn, Nolan, Porter, Maya, Jackson, Lukas, Finnley and Kennedy; and her special twin sister Rose Ann Webreck of Berlin, PA as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by granddaughter Janelle Elizabeth and ten siblings.
Mary’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A viewing will be held from 6PM-8PM on Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Charles F. Dear Karen and family,
Extending my sympathies as you grieve the loss of your mother and grandmother. I have many fond memeories of middle school years spent at your house. Was always delighted by all the feminine energy. Your mom set the tone for easy laughter and lots of busy chitchat.
Karen, your were incredibably tender and present in a season where your mom needed care and support. May the turning of the page be gentle for you. May you breathe deeply. May your faith easy the way forward.

My Mother Rose Scheid was good friends with Mary. Many of my siblings grew up wit her children. We attended St Anthony’s with Mary. She always had a smile and laugh! Such a lovely lady! Many memories attending the church bazaar where Mary always volunteered. Prayers and condolences to the family during this difficult time.

I’ll always remember Aunt Mary Theresa’s visits to the farm in New Baltimore. She & Phil would drive up for visits. Sometimes one or two of us would be lucky enough to make the trip back to Lancaster for a visit. She was a great cook and always seem to have treats for us. I have many other memories. But, I wanted all the family to know how special a person she was. I will miss her. John Will, Chula Vista, CA
