Saddened to learn of the loss of Maurice. Will remember his impish grin when we shared a before school duty. Maurice in his chair chuckling and chiding me for being too serious. Will always see that grin when remembering the one of a kind Maurice. Condolences to the family.

I’m sad to hear of Mr. Blose’s passing. I will never forget our field trip to Philly for a Phillies game. School buses full of teenagers, piling out to stand in line for cheesesteaks…every single one of us paying for them in Sacajawea dollars. I ran into him a few times since high school, and he was always noticeably enjoying life. He was surely one of a kind. RIP, sir. I hope you get to look down at the Phillies winning it all this year.

Mr. Blose, Warwick Teacher, was proud he was from Lewistown. After college, I took a job in the Lewistown area. I’ve been here for almost 37 years! I read his lovely tribute in the Lewistown Sentinel today.

I am so sorry to learn of Maurice’s death. We had lunch in Manila exactly one month ago, and he was enjoying his extended visit. He was a unique individual, about the most generous person I’ve ever known. As a social studies teacher he had tremendous insight to offer students. RIP, Maurice.
