I had Mr. Hirak in chemistry in 1977 to 1979. He made our class exciting and educational. His imfamous pop quiz annoncements after standing in the door way as he took attendnace were times of anticipation if you were not prepared. I had the priviledge of seeing Mike at a few of the emmirtous receptions as a carpentry faculty member and I would always ask him if he was ready for a pop quiz. His laughter and smile as he reminised about those days of me being in his class was priceless. Thank you Mr. hirak for your dedication to teaching, your entusiasm and interests in your students and your service to this country. Rest in peace you did good! Charles T. Byers ’79 TSCT Assistant Professor.
