Condolences to the Family
January 11, 2015
Wishing we could be there to share the memories and honor our amazing, high energy Aunt Millie, who always made us welcome in her home and with her family. Loved to talk about the books we’d read or wanted to read, and to explore her delightful flower garden with vegetables appearing here and there among the flowers, and to chat over egg and olive sandwiches in summer and for holidays, fruit salad and saffron noodles on pretty, Blue Willow dinnerware. In later years she entertained with precious historic photos and tales of days and life stages that we could only imagine. Her vivid recollections always enlightened and left in us a sense of belonging to the story and the place. Faithful with birthday cards and holiday greetings, and even a “just because” note every now and then, Aunt Millie touched us over the years and across the many miles. In her own words: “I do hope all is going well with you and yours, and that each day brings new gifts.” You have been such a blessing and inspiration, Aunt Millie, and we send our love and prayers to all of you, dear family in this season of mourning.
