Mildred L. Segro, 96
March 26, 1928 - February 26, 2025
Mildred L. “Millie” Segro, was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on February 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 96. Millie was born on March 26, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Lombardo. She created a beautiful family and shared many years with her late husband, Eugene J. Segro.
Millie’s spirit will be remembered to many as warm and inviting. She was loving and kind and her infectious smile attracted people to her. She was a longtime devout Catholic of St. Anne & Our Lady of La Vang Parish and previously of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. Her family remembers the sacrifices she made as a young widow to make sure her children were well cared for.
Many will remember Millie for her dedicated years with Fulton Bank, in the Trust Department, where she worked for over 30 years, until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, baking, walking, and spending time with her family.
Millie’s love will live on in her children, Genevieve M. Armold, wife of the late Donald Armold, Jon J. Segro, Susan M. Herr, wife of Dennis Herr, and Nicolette M. Mowrer, wife of Darryl Mowrer, she is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Marion Pautz, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary J. Starr, Clara V. Bertz, Angeline C. Voci, and Josephine Celia.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Millie will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at St. Anne & Our Lady of La Vang Church, 929 N. Duke St. Lancaster, PA 17602, Fr. Tri M. Luong as celebrant. The family welcome guests to a visitation from 10 AM until Mass. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are encouraged to Hospice & Community Care, or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Mrs Segro, was such a blessing to me she would often come to clean my apartment that I rented from her son Jon. (a good friend) She had such a warm and friendly personality, and had a way of making you always feel important. She will be missed not only by her family, but I am sure by all who knew her.
