Mildred “Millie” Shaffer, 64, of Lancaster, passed away on May 19, 2024. Born to the late Charles and Elizabeth Osborne in Lancaster, Millie dedicated her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), serving the community with compassion and dedication for over 30 years.
Millie had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and was known for her talent as a dog trainer. Her fiery personality and spirited nature made her a beloved friend to many. Millie had a special knack for bringing people together, often hosting Pomeranian parties, where joy and puppies were always in abundance.
A selfless and devoted mother, Millie cherished her daughters Tyneishia “Tee” Murray and Diamond Bonaparte. Her love for them was boundless, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness.
Millie is survived by her daughters Tee and Diamond, and her dear friends Deb Bowman and Veronica Wilson, wife of Rick. She was preceded in death by her brother Butchy Shaffer and her best friend Cindy Summers.
A memorial service to celebrate Millie’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. Guests are welcome to join the family for visitation an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pet Pantry of Lancaster.
Millie will be remembered for her fiery spirit, her dedication to her loved ones, and her unwavering kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
