Nelson “Speedy” Torres, age 69, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to the late Jose Torres and Ada Rivera-Torres, Speedy was a loving man with a good sense of humor, always funny and full of laughter.
Speedy shared 22 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Consuelo Diaz-Torres, whom he adored and did everything for, always having her in mind.
Speedy’s life was filled with love, laughter, ups and downs, but he was always on the go, bringing life to everyone around him. He was truly one of a kind, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Consuelo, and his siblings Ada Santiago, Georgina Torres, Ramonita Torres, Ana Torres-Gomez, Iris Torres, and Wilfredo Torres. Speedy was also a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him dearly and will cherish his memory.
Speedy’s memory will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

My brother remembering you as of….we wear kids growing up in school hanging out together doing crazy things like on the back of the train and on the NYC buses just because we didn’t had money to ride jumping roofers and I can go on and on playing hooky just to play handball does are the memories I’ll take with me I love ❤️ you and I’m going to miss like crazy your last words was to bury you not cremation with the help of our families and friends my deepest thanks 🙏 to everyone and to God be the glory 💗
