Noreen Elizabeth Keck, 81
November 11, 2024
Noreen Elizabeth Keck, 81, passed away at her Martic Township home on Monday, November 11, 2024. She shared 59 years of marriage with her husband William “Bill” J. Keck, Sr. before his death in 2022.
Born in Hartford, CT, to the late William and Elizabeth (McCartan) Clay, Noreen’s family moved to New Jersey when she was a teenager. She graduated from Pitman High School in 1961 and became a Kelly Girl operating a keypunch machine.
Noreen married Bill in 1963. Early on they lived in Sweetwater, NJ, where she enjoyed living along the Mullica River and digging for old bottles. Eventually they moved to Martic Township. Through the years she worked in real estate, accounts receivable and retail. In retirement they enjoyed spending winters in the Florida Keys. In her spare time, she liked watching the Eagles and Penn State football, reading mysteries, gardening, and watching wildlife in her yard.
A very loving mother and grandmother she cherished spending time with her family. Noreen also adored her beloved cat Minky.
Noreen is survived by two sons, Stephen M. Keck (Heather) of Millersville, and James T. C. Keck (Stephanie) of Lancaster, and her daughter Nadine E. Wagner (Dan) of Pittsburgh, daughters-in-law, Kathy Keck (the late Michael) and Jana Keck (the late William, Jr.) 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and her three brothers, Edward Clay (Rae), William Clay (Maryann), and David Clay.
In addition to her parents and husband, Noreen was predeceased by her sons, Michael P. Keck in 2010 and William J. Keck, Jr. in 2022, and her brothers, James Clay and Thomas Clay.
Noreen’s family sends their heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbors and occasional stranger who watched out for her.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 am, followed by a memorial service at 11 am with Rev. Karen S. Bachman officiating, on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584.

Keck family,
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Noreen at the Paper Factory many years ago. She was such a joy, full of life and always made me laugh. She loved her family deeply and always talked about how proud she was of any achievements her kids or grandkids made. I’m so sorry for your loss – she was such an incredible lady.
