Orlando R. Colon, 57

Orlando R. Colon, 57, died at LGH on Tues., Sept. 3, 2013. Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Francisco Porrata and Olga Colon. Orlando was the loving husband of Sara Ramos.
He was the founder of La Familia Grocery, LLC on E. Walnut St. and opened several stores in the Lancaster area and was a manager for the Triangle Car Washes in Lancaster.
Orlando enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters, “Chicky Baby” and “Pinky”. A fun loving man, he looked for ways to help others and enjoyed cooking, Salsa music, and collecting miniature cars.
Surviving in addition to his wife Sara, a daughter Santia Bermudez fiancé of Luis Martinez, Lancaster, 2 sons Jose L. Zambrana, Stroudsburg, and Edwin J. Sanchez, FL, 7 grandchildren, and 3 sisters Yolanda Ramos, Tere Porrata, and Ivonne Porrata, all of Puerto Rico. He was preceded in death by one brother.
The Funeral will take place at 7 PM, Sat., Sept. 7, 2013, in the Chapel of the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, with Rev. Emerita Perales officiating. Viewing (5-7PM). Watch the tribute video

Surviving his biological children, Richard Orlando Porrata, Edwin Porrata, Orlando Yamil Porrata & his only daughter Lizandra Marie Porrata. May his soul rest in peace.
