Patsey A. Herr, 77

Patsey A. Herr, 77, formerly of Lititz, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Mennonite Home. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John O. and A. Miriam (Weller) Scholtzhauer. Patsey was the wife of Donald R. (Dick) Herr with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage this past May.

Patsey was employed by Lancaster News Papers as a Special Features Editor. She was also employed by the Lititz Record Express as an Editor, a Drug and Alcohol Admissions Counselor for the Terraces in Akron, a Warwick Twp. Supervisor, and at Head Start. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lancaster. Patsey was the church organist and taught piano lessons.

Surviving in addition to her husband Dick are 3 daughters; Cindy L. Russo wife of Vincent of New Castle, PA; Carol A. Steffy wife of Roger of Columbia, PA; and Susan K. Manning wife of Tom of Aurora, IL, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 sisters; Shirley Stehman wife of Lloyd of Lancaster, PA, and Gerry Taylor wife of Robert of Lancaster, PA.

A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the First Baptist Church 612 N. Duke St. Lancaster 17602 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Joe Faith and Rev. Richard Hill officiating. Friends and Family will be received at the church before the service from 2-3p.m. Interment will be private.Charles F.
