Rachel M. Manduchi, 93
Rachel M. Manduchi, 93, died peacefully at home on Thursday, January 24, 2008 in Dauphin, PA.
A lifelong resident of Lancaster, Rachel was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Madonna. She is survived by her son, Dr. Joseph Manduchi, and daughter-in-law, Mary, of Dauphin, PA, and three grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Michele, and Matthew. Rachel is also survived by her sister, Catherine Orem of New Providence, PA. She is preceded in death by brothers, Anthony, George, and Frank, and by sisters Anna (Everhart), Rose (Cranford), Jennie (Powders), and Theresa. She was married to the late Richard J. Manduchi, also of Lancaster and Trenton, NJ.
Rachel was a former resident of Mennonite Home of Lancaster before moving to Dauphin, PA.
She was a 1977 retiree of the Radio Corporation of America after 29 years of service. Rachel also previously worked for 15 years at American Caramel and Armstrong World Industries. She enjoyed her many friends and acquaintances from RCA. While residing in Lancaster she was a regular attendee at various senior centers, and was active as a member of the Lancaster Council on Aging. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church of Lancaster.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11AM from Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 558 W. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA 17603 with the Rev Michael Grab as Celebrant. There will be a viewing at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA on Tuesday from 6-8PM, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 730PM. There will be a second viewing on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 10-11AM. Interment in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Please omit flowers, making contributions in Rachel’s memory to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
